After receiving damage to her IPS units, the Sealine F46 was lifted and stored ashore whilst the works were carried out by our Engineering department. Both IPS units were removed due to internal damage. After inspection both units were rebuilt and refitted back into the boat. The vessel later underwent sea trials and handed back to the owner on completion.

During her time in the Channel Islands, it was suspected that one of propellers had hit a submerged object.

Upon her return back to Dartmouth, Lady J was lifted and found to have a damaged port side propeller. It was removed, reshaped, balanced, burnished and refitted back into place.

After speaking with our Service Department, the yacht owner tasked Darthaven to install a Generator as this option was not selected when the boat was built. Using the owners requirements and intended use of the yacht, a Paguro 4000 was chosen to best suit the application and space available.

Claret & Blue arrived and was lifted at Darthaven after coming from her home berth in Torquay. Two coats of both white and navy blue antifouling were then applied. The darker colour was applied under the boat to help prevent growth while the white was for visible areas only. New hull, hydraulic platform, bow and stern thruster anodes were then fitted before her relaunch.

Freia came to Darthaven for winter ashore storage and her annual maintenance to be carried out. The owner instructed us to carry out a full service on both her Volvo Penta D6 main engines and DPH drives. After being out of the water for five months, this Botnia Targa 35 had our Gold Treatment package carried out to put the shine back into the dark blue hull and topsides.

Freia suffered from UV sunlight damage around the transom, a common sight on boats with a coloured gel finish. To slow the effect and try to prevent it from fading again, we applied Gtechniq C1. This crystal lacquer forms a crystalline film, which is extremely hard and has been proven to last over three years after a single application.

Privateer a blue hulled Grandbanks Eastbay 46 was collected from Torquay and brought around to Darthaven where she was lifted, washed and stored. She then underwent our Gold treament package including antifouling and having the sterngear burnished.

Guiding Star came to Darthaven after taking on water which in turn damaged electrics, navigation electronics and her engine. The owner instructed us to carry out a full overhaul of the electrics, re-power the engine for a new Volvo Penta D2-40 and refinish/refit the interior. 

Once all the works were complete, she was lifted and relaunched ready for the season ahead.

Excellence Of Dart was lifted at Darthaven for various works to be carried out by each of our service departments. When she arrived her dark blue hull was showing signs of UV damage after a number of seasons spent abroad in the sun. Following the works being completed, she was relaunched looking shinier than ever after receiving our Silver Treatment polishing package, as well as being protected with 3M marine ultra wax.

Shipwrights/Yacht Refinishing 

• Silver Treatment - Compound and polish both the hull and super structure. Protect all gel coated with 3M marine wax
• Remove and correctly repair all gelcoat damage already attempted by previous repairers which had been filled and paint sprayed instead of gelcoat being applied 
• Repair stanchion - Removing guard rail and stanchion gate way. Add strengthening and replace gate way and all guard rails
• Repainting boot top - Mask and sand two white boot top lines. Then apply undercoat and muliple coats of gloss white paint
• Bow thruster tunnel - Remove the thruster leg, repair tunnel & apply 5 coats of gelshield epoxy 

​Engineering 

• Service Gori propeller - Remove old bump stops and anodes. Clean propeller, rope cutter and shaft. Fit new bump stops, anodes and grease propeller blades

Electrical & Electronics 

• Supply three batteries and new masthead TV aerial
• Investigate bow thruster not working and faults with batteries, charging, wind generator regulator, fridge and chart plotters 
• Carry out electrical corrosion checks on engine
